Our Leadership
Archie Deese is the founder and President of The Paint Doctor, a commercial coatings company serving the Aviation, Health Care, Higher Education and Government markets. As President, Archie is responsible for directing day-to-day operations as well as proforma planning for the company.
He uses a systems engineering approach, believing that a collaborative effort by the team to develop and consistently improve systems and processes yields optimum results and generates solid, actionable plans. Archie started his life’s journey in North Carolina, and grew up in Michigan, where he attended the University of Michigan, graduating with his BBA with a concentration in Investment & Corporate Finance.
Upon graduation Archie worked in corporate America for 6 years before taking 18 months off to consider his career and the experiences and interests that would drive him to his next step. Archie’s dad was a contractor, and ultimately Archie decided to start a painting company while investing in real estate – and that was the beginning of The Paint Doctor.
Archie’s Passions are his family, building relationships, and working to continuously improve himself and his company. Archie’s Values are straightforward: Relationships, Competency, Character, and Consistency. His Personal Interests include reading, travel, studying philosophy and people.
Interesting tidbit: Archie spent 60% of his time living in Costa Rica from January 2013 to October 2019. During that time, he met his wife, they had 3 children, he learned Spanish, and the company grew every year. He likes to say that they were virtual before virtual was cool.
